While cats are known for being self-groomers, they still need help from their owners to stay healthy and clean. Regular grooming strengthens your bond and allows you to check for health issues.

1. Brushing

Brush your cat weekly to remove loose hair and prevent matting. Long-haired cats may need daily brushing. This also reduces hairballs.

2. Nail Trimming

Trim your cat's nails every 2-3 weeks. Get them used to having their paws handled from a young age. Use specific cat nail clippers and be careful not to cut the quick.

3. Ear Cleaning

Check your cat's ears regularly for wax buildup or signs of infection. Clean them gently with a vet-approved solution if needed.

4. Dental Care

Dental disease is common in cats. Brush their teeth with pet-safe toothpaste or use dental treats to help maintain oral hygiene.
