NAH Pet Salon ("we", "us", or "our") provides pet grooming, boarding, and related pet care services through our mobile app and website (together, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information when you create an account and use the Services:

Account information: first and last name, email address, phone number, password, and profile photo.
Pet information: your pet's name, type, and breed.
Address and booking information: your home address, appointment details, and service selections.
Location data: with your permission, your device's precise location — used to set the pickup location for Mobile Grooming appointments, and, for groomers, to share their live position with you while an accepted appointment is in progress. Background location is only used for this active-appointment tracking.
Photos and videos: before/after grooming photos or videos attached to an appointment.
Payment information: payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, Nomod. We do not collect or store your full card details — Nomod handles that directly.
Push notification data: a device token used to send you appointment and account notifications.
Technical and usage data: device type, app version, and crash/diagnostic data, collected via our backend infrastructure (Firebase, a Google service).

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account and your pets' profiles.
To schedule, fulfill, and communicate with you about bookings and appointments.
To process payments for services rendered.
To coordinate Mobile Grooming pickups and share live groomer location during an active appointment.
To send appointment reminders and account-related push notifications.
To maintain the security, reliability, and performance of the Services.
To comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share information only as needed to operate the Services:

Service providers: Firebase/Google (authentication, data storage, hosting, push notifications) and Nomod (payment processing).
Groomers and staff assigned to your appointment, to the extent needed to deliver the service (e.g. your address, pet details, and live pickup location).
Legal and safety purposes: when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of NahPets, our customers, or others.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and booking information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, resolve disputes, and comply with our legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see "Your Choices" below).

5. Your Choices

You can review and update your account, pet, and address details from the Account screen in the app.
You can disable location or notification permissions at any time from your device settings.
You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time via our account deletion page, or by contacting us at contact@nahpet.ae. You can also request access to or correction of your personal data by emailing us.

6. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including those provided by Firebase, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Data Transfers

Our service providers (including Firebase/Google) may process and store data on servers located outside the United Arab Emirates.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date.
